FAQ Section 2 - The Guide Dog Game client

Question  2.1  - What is the Guide Dog Games client?

In order to play most Guide Dog games, you'll need to have our client
installed and running.  The client is automatically included in most
of our installer packages, and will automatically be run when you load
or play your games.

The Guide Dog client ties your games to your account on the Guide Dog
Games server, allowing you to save high scores, achievements, and other
game data to your account.  Because of this, you'll need to be logged
in to play your games.

Question  2.2  - Can I play offline?

You'll only be able to play games offline if the game allows for a
special offline mode.  If you're offline and the game doesn't support
it, you won't be able to save game data, may not be able to access
all of the game features you've paid for, and in many cases simply
won't be able to play the game at all.

Question  2.3  - Why do I have to be online?

We have the online requirement to reduce hacking and to allow our game
developers to easily keep track of how their games are being played.

There may be some games that have an offline mode, but in general
you'll have to be logged in to your Guide Dog account in order to
play.
